Restarting OneDrive
(Windows 11, System Tray Method)

Locate the system tray

Look at the bottom-right corner of your screen on the taskbar.

This area shows icons for background apps (Wi-Fi, sound, battery, etc.).

Reveal hidden icons

If you don’t see the OneDrive cloud icon (white for personal, blue for work/school), click the small upward arrow
^(Show hidden icons). -
A small pop-up will appear with additional app icons.

Find the OneDrive icon

Look for the cloud symbol:

White cloud = Personal OneDrive

Blue cloud = Work/School OneDrive

Close OneDrive

Right-click the OneDrive cloud icon.

In the menu, select Close OneDrive (or sometimes it just says Exit).

A confirmation window may pop up — click Close OneDrive again.

Restart OneDrive
-
Click the Start button (Windows icon in the bottom left).
-
Type OneDrive in the search box.
-
Click on the OneDrive app from the results to launch it again.

The cloud icon should reappear in the system tray once it restarts.
